RIA / Desktop Applications
Besides Websites I also do traditional application programming. My biggest project so far was the so called “Konfabulator 0009″, a virtual “time travel”-project done for the german Landesmuseum Detmold. The five characters from the screenshot above can be chosen via a Touchscreen and aksed different question which will then be answered by playing HD-videos on a beamer.
Technology: Adobe AIR 1.5 / AS3 / XML
Amongst the features are:
- Voice Control
The whole application can be controlled via voice commands by museum staff (utilizing Dragon Natural Speaking)
- Motion Detector
Via a webcam the system acknowledges when someone enters the room and then plays a greetings video in case the system is idle
